She leverages her specialized background to help your child overcome challenges and reach their full potential, giving you the confidence and tools to support them every step of the way. Our goal is to ensure your family sees remarkable, lasting progress.
Lee Ann Annotti, PhD
I am Dr. Annotti, founder of Milestones Child Psychology LLC. I specialize in comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based therapy for children navigating Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Dyslexia, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other behavioral challenges.
At Milestones, our goal is to turn a typical 24-month wait for answers into a 3-week turnaround. Within three weeks of our first visit, we interview guardians, evaluate your child, consult with teachers, and deliver a complete psychological report. By understanding your child’s unique profile of strengths and challenges, we provide tailored treatments designed to help them develop vital skills and reach their fullest potential.
Because we are deeply committed to your family's success, we also offer Educational Advocacy. Navigating the special education system can be overwhelming. We shoulder the administrative burden and collaborate empathetically with your school to ensure your child receives the appropriate accommodations, allowing you to stay focused on simply being a parent.
Path and Vision
Dr. Lee Ann Annotti’s professional passion is to study and assess Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disabilities. This began early in her career while she supported children and families who were frustrated by extensive waitlists at the small number of available hospitals in New York City.
During the early stages of COVID-19, her family settled in New Orleans where she helped Ochsner’s Children Hospital develop an Autism Assessment Center and neurodevelopmental psychological evaluation program. As an expert child psychology provider, she also created a multi-disciplinary assessment team, learning the billing and insurance components of providing services, and supporting parents in implementing the psychological recommendations that are created as a result of the evaluation — the program still thrives to this day!
The next stage of her journey brought her to Jacksonville, FL. The challenging situation of long wait lists continues to plague the community, particularly at leading child development and behavioral health centers. Across the nation, wait lists for psychological evaluations range from 18-to 24-months. Early childhood and adolescence are pivotal times for brain development – waiting two years for critical services is unacceptable as such interventions positively support children’s development.
Education and Training
Dr. Lee Ann Annotti is an expert child psychology provider who received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University with a bachelor’s in psychology, graduating with honors. She then earned her PhD in school psychology from the University of Maryland, focusing on the evaluation of children with developmental disability, completing her internship under the supervision of a school neuropsychologist. Following the completion of her dissertation, Dr. Annotti completed a post-doctoral training program at Westchester Institute for Human Development in New York. Dr. Annotti has earned state licenses to practice psychology in New York, Illinois, Louisiana, and Florida.
